This paper is an addition to a thesis that examines the build-operate-transfer (BOT) method of building infrastructure as it is used in Kuwait from a qualitative perspective. Questionnaires were administered to a number of individuals in Kuwait using purposive sampling methods. Problems associated with BOT such as wasta, corruption, and unfair bidding practices are among the issues discussed in this thesis. The use of BOT for building the economies of developing nations and transforming them into developed nations is discussed, as are a variety of other issues identified by questionnaire respondents.
